God brought Michael and Laura together in high school in Arlington, VA, and led them to marriage in 2003. Their education at James Madison University prepared them for professional careers in Music Education and Nursing. They spent three years gaining experience in those fields, while the Lord developed their gifts and directed their hearts toward the great needs among the poor in urban centers around the world. They were soon introduced to the MTW church-planting team in Lima, Peru.

The Lima New City team's vision is to transform the whole city, spiritually and physically, through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is being done through church planting, ministries of justice and mercy, and leadership training. Michael looks forward to teaching English as a Second Language, training Peruvians in the church, tutoring at-risk kids, and music ministry. Laura's heart is to serve the community through public health education and mentoring.

January 11, 2006, they welcomed Noah into their family. Please pray for health, safety and adjustment for each of them as they study Spanish and prepare to move to Lima in the Fall of 2007.

"And He went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people." Matthew 4:23

Susan Crenshaw's missionary journey began when God's power to change lives collided with her love of children. On her first trip out of the United States, to Costa Rica, Susan remembers passing slum areas with houses made of corrugated aluminum. She would return summers later on a mission trip, to feed people as a way to gain trust and ultimately rescue young girls from lifetimes of prostitution and drug abuse.

Raised in a Christian home with three brothers and two sisters in Jacksonville Florida, Susan came to faith in Christ as a small girl in Dallas, Texas.

Since graduating from Covenant College in elementary education, with a minor in Spanish, Susan has taught elementary English as a second language in northwest Georgia public schools. But her heart remains on the mission field.

Hearing about the work in Lima, Peru, Susan visited and saw the needs of the churches in areas such as Huyacan and Santa Anita, which surround the capitol. She serves the church plants through teaching ESL, training in evangelism and helping with ministry to kids. Through her ministry, Susan shares the Gospel with children and helps them to see their potential to change others' lives even around the world. Thanks for your continued prayers!
